7 Deadly Sins - Dating Advice for men and women

There are some classic mistake that women make when dealing with men. Some hurt you, some hurt him, some hurt the relationship. They happen so often, and with such great frequency, that you would think it was a secret. Well I’m here to burst that bubble and help you steer clear of these seven deadly sins. 1. Never sleep with your Ex Sleeping with your ex (boyfriend, husband, lover, etc.) is always a big mistake. Remember, there’s a reason why the two of you broke up in the first place. Engaging in such a raw passionate act with your ex will without a doubt stir up old feelings. The familiar comforts of his powerful arms, musky smell, and warm body will have you feeling like love all over again. But, is it really love? No! Sadly it’s merely lust, and comfort, and convenience. You’ll delude yourself into thinking things will work out this time. Surprisingly, you only remember the good times, and all the failings of the relationship elude your grasp. So avoid this mistake at all costs. It will only end in heart break, anger, and confusion, etc. 2. Faking An Orgasm Women of all ages fake orgasms. One of the most popular reasons given is to spare a man’s feelings. But is this honestly the reason why women are faking orgasm? In my humble opinion I believe this is a selfish and not a selfless act. You know how awkward it will be to turn to your man and tell him he’s not pleasing you sexually. Many men if you talk to them in a positive attitude will want to make sure you are satisfied. It’s really all in how you approach it. Also, it only hurts a man more to discover later that you’ve faked orgasms for a long period of time. Faking an orgasm actually trains the body into thinking it will not achieve orgasm at the end of a sexual encounter. In time this makes it increasingly difficult to reach the Big-O. So do yourself, and your man a favor. Speak up! Approach him with a loving and caring voice, and tell him what you like. Focus on the positive things, instead of telling him what he’s doing wrong. 3. Ditching Your Girlfriends For A New Beau How many of you are guilty of this, or have a friend who is? It’s a very bad habit. It’s not healthy for your relationship with your man and your friends. It’s good to have hobbies, interests, friends and time away from your man. Yes, it may be difficult, especially early in the relationship. But it’s for the best. Your friends miss you, and if you keep ditching them for men, they will soon cut you off. Yes, your friends will be there to support you when things are bad, but if you avoid them during the good times they will easily become angry. No one wants to get always get the short end of the stick. Besides, the time apart from your man is healthy. It lets you focus on other things, gives you a recharge, and gives you something to talk about when you see him again. 4. "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!” If Interrogation is your middle name you may have a problem. There’s a time and place for questions. On the first date, the last thing anyone wants is to feel like it’s an interview. You’re supposed to be having fun! If you start talking about long committed relationship and making plans together after one week, it’s too soon. If you start talking about marriage, kids, and where you want to raise your family after only a few months, it’s too soon. There’s so much to learn about your man if you only listen and show interest in what he likes and talks about. So slow down on the questions. Listen, relax, and have fun! 5. “We” instead of “me” Men enjoy their freedom. There’s a reason why men are cautious and careful about jumping into a relationship. He wants a woman who is going to respect his needs and his freedom. It’s healthy and highly recommended to let a man have some space, or a night out with the boys. Using “we” is something that takes time. Sure it’s fun to make plans to spend time together. But have you considered his interest, and his plans? Making plans for you and your new boyfriend to go to a wedding, big mistake. Telling him about your friend’s wedding, and asking if he’d like to be your date, much better. But again, be weary of bringing up weddings too early in the relationship. You have to feel a man out, and listen to who he is. If you rush making plans for each other, he will feel trapped and want to leave. But if you do it gradually and over time, it will show you are interested in him and enjoy being with him. 6. Loosing Your Identity He loves the band “Muse”, the Packers, and muscle cars. So you begin neglecting your own hobbies and interests in order to dive into his. This is a big mistake too many women are guilty of. It’s great that you want to share in your man’s interests, but not at the cost of your own identity. Your interests have help create who you are as a woman. You should never give up who you are for a man. If you truly wish to share in his interests, don’t force it. In time, the longer you are together, the more you will learn. Let things come naturally. 7. Unrealistic Expectations No one can live up to a high list of expectations. Why is it the best advice to give a man is to have no expectations and simple enjoy having a good time with a woman? But, the same advice doesn’t appear to apply to women’s expectations on men. Often you may find yourself missing out on a great opportunity. No one is perfect. If your expectations are too high then you may end up single forever. If they are too low, you’ll find yourself with horrible men who don’t appreciate you. Expectations can be so powerful that some men may not approach you, assuming that you have high expectations for a man you date. Spend some time investigating who you really are as a person and a woman. What do you absolutely need, and what do you want. Remember, we can’t truly know, understand, and appreciate others, until we know ourselves.

Dating tips and Dating advices: 10 Signs It’s Time To Break Up

Arguing couple - Credit: Fotolia.com

In any relationship, there are good days and there are bad days. For instance, you might want to do something that your partner is completely opposed to, or she might want to go shopping for the apartment when all you want to do is stay at home and relax with the game or a movie. This is part and parcel of being one half of a couple.

Now and again, however, your differences might become more serious and can lead to a breakup. There are signs of looming trouble, and when they are seen with some frequency, it might be time to cut your losses and end the relationship. Knowing what these breakup signs are can help you avoid wasting any more time in a dead-end relationship.
Number 10
Lack of contact
When you first got together with your other half, you couldn't stop contacting each other. Whether it was on the phone, via text messaging or using e-mail and other online messenger systems, speaking to each other almost every hour was the norm. Now, however, you can’t even be bothered to text, let alone call, her. On top of this, you have deliberately started to ignore her attempts to contact you. Caller ID has never been so useful and a breakup has never been more imminent.
Number 9
There’s no talk of the future
One of the most natural and exciting parts of being involved with someone is planning the future together. You’re perfectly content to plan for the holidays, dream about where you want to make your home, and ponder possible names for your kids because it gives you a feeling of safety. These thoughts of the future perpetuate the sentiment that the two of you will always be a loving couple that grows old together.

Raise any of these subjects now, and all you receive is a noncommittal nod or grunt; neither of you are willing to talk about where you want to spend your vacation in the summer or which concerts you want to attend.
Number 8
Lack of effort
Remember how, when you first got together, neither of you could come up with plans quick enough on what to do together. Long walks, picnics on the beach, spontaneous romantic getaways, and so on, were all romantic options for you and your new lover. Now you can’t even be bothered to arrange a date to keep the passion alive. In fact, you’re happiest when you’re listlessly sitting at home watching TV or a DVD -- anything to avoid talking to each other.
Number 7
Fighting dirty
The two of you used to have silly little fights that were only slightly more mature than a school-yard spat. Now you’re engaged in full-on war games in which anything goes. You know what her weak spots are -- her weight, her body image and her mother -- and you use them just to rile her up. You’re not alone, as the rules of engagement clearly state that she can do exactly the same thing back -- she laughs at your sexual prowess and tells her girlfriends how small your dipstick is.
Number 6
Fighting quickly
You used to see her little jibes as humorous and you were able to laugh them off. Now, the slightest word from her gaping hole that you find irritating leads you to throw down the gauntlet and pick a fight without a second’s notice. If this is the case, it suggests a deep-seated resentment for your partner, and is a sign that things could get real ugly if you don’t leave now and break up.
Number 5
Fighting publicly
Fighting with your partner is bad enough, but entering a screaming match in public is a definite sign that you’re in a relationship that’s out of control. If you don’t even care who hears or sees the problems that you have, it’s a sure sign that you’ve lost all respect for your partner. Short of stepping onto a soapbox on the street corner, tell her that you’re breaking up with her.
Number 4
Yearning for independence
It used to be that you wanted to spend every single waking minute with your girl; you’d share the shower first thing in the morning, you’d meet for lunch and you’d pick her up after work (even though it was out of your way) just to have more time together. Now all you want to do is go out with your buddies or even work double overtime just so you don’t have to spend any more time together than is absolutely necessary. Dreaming about your bachelorhood, romanticizing past relationships or fantasizing about becoming a player are all signs that your current relationship is doomed.
Number 3
Keeping secrets
The basis of any successful relationship is trust. This means sharing every intimate detail with no lies, no secrets, and no unexpected skeletons. If that suddenly disappears, what’s the point in continuing? If you can’t trust your partner with something your friend told you, or with something that might affect their own situation (either with a friend, family or work) it’s clear you no longer feel you can confide in them and it’s time to pack up and go.
Number 2
Change in perception
Remember how you used to think her little button nose was cute? Or how her strange little laugh was funny and endearing? Now that same button nose makes her look like a pig, and that laugh is less bearable than Fran Drescher’s. When you look at your love bug all you see are her ugly qualities -- physical or otherwise. You look at her now and see cellulite that causes dry heaves and those freckles on her chest make you think of leprosy. If you can’t see past her normal faults, it’s another sign that your relationship has had its day.
Number 1
No more sex
We all know how animalistic our sexuality becomes when we enter a new relationship. Heck, rabbits look like monks compared to how active we are. Then, like an overdosed rock star, your sexuality fizzles and you’re only getting your noodle wet a few times a month. When your action comes from the sex and advice column in your local newspaper, and there’s no sign of improvement, it’s usually an indication that the spark has gone and it’s time to move on to sexier pastures.
in and out of love
Whether or not you have experienced -- or are experiencing -- any of these signs, you’ll know when it’s time to break up with her. It may be obvious, but just having a gut feeling and sensing something is wrong is a key factor in knowing that your relationship is a bust. You know each other well, or at least you used to, and you know when something is wrong -- it’s this same something that tells you the whole thing has run its course. If that’s the case, get on with the show and get out before you lose your sanity.

It all depends upon the type of person you are going to meet.Keeping all things aside ,I'd say that we should be neat -clean, healthy, well dressed and should not have bad breath,Good, looks physique, charecter, with the ability to converse in good language(sweet words) and a purse full with money and the patience to take her around for shopping & movies / entertainment & parties.Above all should be willing always, for any thing and any time.

How to Impress
by HariOm Chawla on Aug 05, 2007 10:00 PM

Don't make any conscious effort to make good impression. Just be yourself. You are an individual; she is also an idividual, though of the opposite sex. Just have a free, frank talk. If you have common interests, likes and dislikes; it is O.K. Treat her as a person, and give full respect.

Politeness and honesty of thoughts and the conviction with which you talk to a girl can do wonders. Restraint in self praise and excessive praise of your girl friend at times makes your feelings look fake. One must be humble, caring and decent and not be on the look of an oppertunity to display physical gestures like you wanting to hold her hand or putting it round her waist. You may be looked upon as a person who is in a hurry to be physical without understanding the girls nature and attitude. Girls want themselves to be understood, feel comfortable in your company and then once they are satisfied about your nature things would flow gradually and desirously. Dont ever try to push your way or impose things and conditions on issues which are talked about in your conversation. The first round of conversation should be general and not too specific but you must remember that it should not at all be probing. This would reflect that you are a pile on. Ajay

Big Joke!
by vipul parmar on Aug 01, 2007 01:19 PM

I think the creator of the story is frustrated with girls and actually trying to be gay either so he wants people's opinion for his last hope.
You dumbo every hole have different key as every girl or boy have different turn ons and one has to play as and when required.

There are no standard rules available in the world which helps a person to impress opposite sex except you study psychology and use those rules in real life.

dating tips
by Calvin Hobbes on Aug 01, 2007 01:17 PM

1. Do not try to impress her at all. Just be your natural self.
2. Don't be serious.
3. Now if you really want to impress her, take her to a place she never dreamt of. Let me be clear on this.. If you don't have anything which could impress her do not try to impress her. Now suppose you own a mall or a merc or something flashy and expensive, just show it to her without assuming anything,

Now put your comments in the comments list. We will publish the selected ones.

Attracted to a handsome man - how to discover if love is returned?

Have you been attracted to a handsome man, and yet still confused if he is attracted to you? If you’ve been dating him for some time you made an initial contact and some subtle contact has been created.

Moving beyond an initial casual chat with a man

When is the right time to go further on beyond an initial casual chat and entail some personal info in a conversation with a man?

Should you reveal too much about yourself too early? How would you know if she is interested to know more about you?

Examine this list and see if you think you have all the essential skills to date men:

  1. Recognize male’s changes in expression and body language
  2. Would you go for clever man vs. physically built the way you want?
  3. What hints men are sending if they are interested in you>

So, let’s evaluate all-important steps one by one!

Recognize signs of attraction go after changes in expression and body language

The fact is you will quite rarely get clear signs that a man is obviously attracted to you. Men are intimidated by woman’s presence too and tend to send insignificant signals, hints, and subliminal messages.

You can pick up on changes in expression, posture, body language, etc that tells you more about what the man is thinking than what he is saying.

How do you choose whom to approach?

If you do not decide how to choose whom yu will accept as a romantic partner, you will be open to everything. What are you really looking for, someone to love and care for and grow old with or someone to wow others with and make you rich?

Weigh up men who might be fantastic but not built physically the way you want

It is very common for a women’s aspiration that a man has to be taller than she is. So at the start she has eliminated any man who might be fantastic but not built physically the way she wants him to be.

However the moment you know him, you reveal all the character, intellectual and spiritual values he has. Comparing a clever man to someone who lacks all the intellectual qualities, except the body shape you’ll understand which is more important to you.

Being in familiar terms if a men you’re attracted to is likely to mate you

What Women Look For - Dating advice for men and women, Dating advices for men and teens

good guys

Many women believe that all the good guys are taken, but you know that’s simply not true. iVillage.com is telling women exactly how to spot a great guy, so you best read on to see what qualities she’s looking for in her dream man.

finding mr. right

We all want to find a great guy. But let's face it: How many of your exes seemed fantastic at first, only for you to find out that they were Mr. Wrongs? Well, no more bad boys, mama's boys or anything of the sort! Dr. Bethany Marshall shares her shopping list for a healthy man in this excerpt from her book, Deal Breakers.

When you first meet a man, whether it's online, at the grocery store, at a bar, at school or at your job, you should feel that he wants you.

It may be conveyed by a look, a touch, a compliment, curiosity or attention to detail. And it must, within a short amount of time, be conveyed in person -- not online, through a text message or on the phone. And definitely, it should be backed up by his willingness to make a plan and move the relationship forward. If he's not interested enough to call in advance and make a plan, he's not interested enough to invest his emotions in a relationship. Conversely, constant calling, e-mailing and text-messaging is not true contact. He cannot touch you, see you, adore you or get to know you through words on a screen or over the phone.

Soon after meeting him, you should discover that he has appropriately achieved in at least one area of his life.

For instance, if he went to college he now has a good job. Or a decent car. If he inherited his parents' business, he has learned how to successfully manage it. Or if he is a member of a baseball team, he has learned to become a team player. His efforts continue to generate new opportunities, new skills, new challenges, or new possessions. Thus, he is progressing and not degenerating.

If he's a healthy man, he will never make plans for the future that he does not intend to back up.

And he will certainly not say, “I'm not sure where this relationship is going,” and then continue to call you and have sex with you. He will not send messages that are confusing and difficult to decipher. A healthy man says what he means and means what he says. And the words that he speaks are backed up by action that coincides. Even if he cannot give a guarantee, the relationship is always moving forward. Thus, you will never find yourself drunk-dialing at two in the morning because you fear that he is out with another girl. Or find yourself in a situation where he claims to want to get married , but you are the only one who is planning the wedding and paying for the caterer.

If you are in the right relationship, it will feel reciprocal and mutual.

When you offer emotional support, is he appreciative? Does he give back by surprising you with a special little something? Or remembering your favorite drink? Do you feel that what he gives is as valuable and meaningful as what you offer? For instance, if you set aside a Saturday night, will he make an entertainment plan that is enjoyable for both of you? If your car breaks down, will he come and get you? If you have a problem, will he help you? Is he as devoted to you as you are to him? Healthy relationships are based upon mutual give-and-take. And what is given and received should feel of equal value. If the only thing that you are getting out of this relationship is text messages or e-mails, occasional plans or the assurance that you won't be alone on a Saturday night, you are not getting what you need.

If he's the right guy for you, he will have good friends and you will like who he is when he's with them.

Whether he's at the bar, at a tailgate party or running for political office, you are confident that he is the man you know and love, both with you or apart from you. When he's out of sight, he does not turn into somebody else. For instance, a player. Or a jerk. Conversely, when you include him with your friends, you know who he will be: charming and engaging, enhancing instead of detracting.

If he's a healthy man, he will like you for who you are.

Even if you have a bad day or say something that he does not like, his adoration will remain steady and his view of you will remain the same. Beware of the guy whose perception changes whenever you deviate from his expectations. For instance, you dress a certain way and he refuses to hold you or compliment you. Or you gain weight and he stops having sex with you. Does he take pleasure in you, whether you look sexy in your low-rider jeans or have just gotten out of bed? Does he spend time with your family because he knows that you are a part of them? Is he interested in your spirituality? Or do you feel that you must suppress your personality in order to hold on to his approval? Even when it comes to your sexual preferences, you should feel free to reveal yourself without fear of losing his affection.

A healthy man will never view you as unconditionally bad or make you feel terrible about yourself.

Even in the midst of an argument, he will be able to see both the good and the bad in you. For instance, he will not stay mad at you once the argument is over. And he will move on instead of clinging to bad feelings or suspicions. He loves you and sees you as a good person, no matter what. And he would never refuse to call, refuse to be nice, or walk out the door without quickly returning simply because you shared your concerns with him.

A healthy man has a learning curve.

For instance, if you tell him that you need more time together or need him to stop doing something that is obnoxious, he will shift his behavior because he loves you and does not want to lose you. He is willing to learn from his mistakes and modify his actions. For instance, if he begins a friendship with a flirtatious girl and you let him know that this is creating a problem, he will be concerned about your feelings and come up with a solution. When you discuss relationship obstacles, he works on them. He would never admit to a substance abuse problem and then refuse to address it. Or agree to appropriately separate from his mother (who dislikes you), but then go running back to the nest.

If he is healthy, he will seek his own solutions.

For instance, if he has a problem, he will reach out to others for help, find resources, have a conversation, go to therapy, attend a 12-step program -- anything that will move him closer to making the changes that he needs to make. (You could do worse than give him this book. No, wait -- make him buy his own damn copy!) Petty pride, laziness or stubbornness will not keep him from taking the steps that he needs to take to have a full relationship with you.

A healthy man will not try to have power over you.

He won't leave you wondering where he is and what he is doing. Or leave you hanging just to prove a point. Or make you feel that you have to disappear for a few days to recover the power you once had. Even if he has more money, status and power, he will not make you feel that you would be nothing without him. A healthy man is willing to take you into account instead of pushing you away. He is willing to listen, meet your needs, and include you in mutual decision-making. Because you matter, he does not want to have undue influence or control over you. And he can trust that he is loved, even when he is not in charge. When it comes to who takes care of whom, and who makes the decisions, and who gets the last say, he is willing to negotiate (because, really, all of life is a little like Let's Make a Deal).
